WORK-IN-PROGRESS ON
LOCATION;
ART ENERGY FESTIVAL BREDA;
29 OKT T/M 12 NOV 2005:

FIRST CONCERT WITH 5
PNEUMATIC CILINDERS OF 2 MTR
HIGH, 4 TUBES JUMPING
AROUND BY AIR-PRESSURE,
TRIGGERED BY MIDI AND ME.

A PNEUMATIC / ELECTRONICAL
CONCERT, A COLD SHOWER OF
LIVE-MADE AIR PRESSURE
NOISES WITH ADDITIONAL
SOUNDLAYERS OUT OF
COMPUTER.

PLAYING WITH MOVING BACK
AND FORWARD; TO AND AWAY
FROM REALITY.
FROM REAL PNEUMATICS TO
VIRTUAL DIGITAL NOISE.
BOTH LIVE COMPOSED AND
CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER.

VIDEO 29OKT   (5 MIN,- 7 MB)

AFTER THE FIRST CONCERT,
I DISCONNECTED THE AIR
PRESSURE-CYLINDERS AND
MADE A LABORATORIUM-LIKE
REORGANISATION OF THE WHOLE SETUP.

SEARCHING FOR A MORE VISUAL
INPUT, INSTEAD OF THE MONU-
MENTAL SET-UP BEFORE.

WORKING ON LOCATION AND
PLAYING WITH THIS 'TESTING' SET, I GAVE 2 WEEKS LATER THE
2ND CONCERT WITH 10 AIRTUBES LEFT, TURNING AND
JUMPING AROUND IN THE BLACKLIGHT, AS A LIVING SCULPTURE.

THE TUBES WERE TRIGGERED
BY A SELF-MADE MIDI-BUTTON-
BOX, MIDI FADERS, ME AND MY LAPTOP.

FIGHTING AROUND WITH FEEDBACK, TRYING TO AMPLIFY
THE AIR-SOUNDS, I DECIDED TO LET THE AIRSOUNDS STAY
ACOUSTIC, AND PLAYED WITH ADDITIONAL NOISE-LAYERS
OUT OF MY COMPUTER  (LIVE COMPOSED AND COMBINED)
